Almacantar Joins Build UK

Almacantar has become the third client to join Build UK as it continues to drive positive change by welcoming all areas of the industry to the table.

Major industry client Almacantar has joined Argent and Great Portland Estates plc to address long standing industry issues.

Almacantar is a property investment and development company, specialising in large-scale, complex investments in Central London. It owns over 1.5 million sq. ft. of prime assets in the heart of London including Centre Point, Marble Arch Place, CAA House, One and Two Southbank Place, 466-490 Edgware Road and 125 Shaftesbury Avenue. Certainty of project delivery is critically important to Almacantar and this new partnership with Build UK ensures that, as a leading construction client, Almacantar is playing its role in delivering change across the industry.

Build UK was created to provide a strong collective voice for the construction supply chain. Having recently celebrated Build UK’s successes in driving change in the industry in its first year, client interest in Build UK continues to grow as the industry reaps the benefits of working openly and honestly.

Build UK Chief Executive Suzannah Nichol MBE said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Almacantar to Build UK. The success of our first year was down to the commitment and willingness of our members to change their practices and I’m confident that, as more leading clients come on board, we can continue to deliver change through the supply chain.”

Almacantar Project Director Geoff Taylor said:

“Improving quality and productivity within the construction industry can best be achieved when clients and suppliers work together, and Build UK has moved to create that forum. We look forward to working with Build UK and its members to help shape the future of the construction industry.”
